These cave photographs are inside-out landscapes. The natural forms I am drawn to and love become dark and mysterious when photographed in caves. The abstract forms visually feel hand painted or sculpted and as I worked on the series they required less interpretation on my part to symbolize the physical and spiritual essence of the land. I began with the Timpanogos Mural prints and finished with the straight images from Crystal Cave in California.
